The Telotest is designed to assess the biological age of the skin.
Telotest works by measuring the length of telomeres, which are protective caps at the ends of chromosomes. Telomeres shorten as we age, and shorter telomeres are associated with a number of age-related conditions, including skin ageing.
The Telotest is a simple and non-invasive procedure. It involves taking a small sample of skin from the forearm. The sample is then sent to a laboratory for analysis. The results of the test are available within a few weeks.
